Subtasks

1. Georeferenzierte Online-Bibliographie Areallinguistik

The interactive online database should provide information on the entirety of research literature regarding regional languages. To this end, it is important that the research literature be made geospatially searchable. That means that linguistic, geographic, and bibliographic data will be bundled together. It will then become possible to access information on relevant academic publications about a particular location or region.

2. Tagging Keywords

Every publication has been allocated keywords using a classification scheme specially developed for regional language research (“Marburger-Systematik”). This allows users to search directly for particular dialect regions or levels of linguistic analysis, for example. In this way, search results can be generated through any particular combination even without knowledge of the bibliographic data.
